My name is Jean Rouge. I come from France. I like cars and Japanese Cartoon. Nice to meet you.
On November 18th, a driving event was held at Izumiotsu. At this event was also present OFRAC the driving team from Osaka University. We went to greet them, then proceeded to set ourselves up. The weather wasn’t that great this day, so the first challenge was to build a shelter. Thankfully, someone had the genius idea to pitch half of the tent and tilt it on the side, so we would be protected of the rain and wind.
The preparation took almost all morning, but now that everything was set, we could get down to the actual driving! The pilots of the team took turn one after another. Also, due to the rain, the asphalt was very slippery, which made the circuit more difficult. But it was nothing that could stop our fabulous pilots. After the session, we reflected on what we learned about our machine, and as team members, and thought about ways to improve the results for the next session. In the end, the driving event was held in harsh weather condition, but the team unity prevailed and it ended up being a very good day. All the team members are looking forward next year’s competition!
